I basically took apart my Toyota Tundra headlights in the same exact manner and painted the inside black. At first I was a little gun shy about putting them in the oven but found another thread that offered a bit better advice.
In this video it says put them in a 250 degree oven for 15 minutes. Well, what happens id=f you forget, get called away, something happens? Your headlights will eventually warp or melt some in a 250 degree oven. So I heated my oven to 275 degrees, then turned it off, then put my headlight in on an air bake cookie sheet. If I forgot for some reason...you'd think that would be impossible but stranger things have happened to people, or someone come to the door, whatever, they cannot melt or overheat. The 275 deg. allows you to pen the door and get the light in without being below 250. The rest is pretty much the same except the two pieces don't come apart as easily as he showed. They are still pretty tough.
