Default Interested in purchasing a Q7

I've been looking into various yrs, between 2012 - 14 but reading and getting reviews the older yrs 2008/09 gets better overall scores.

Lastly, I dont wanna get off track I'm thinking about the Porsche Cayenne similar yrs 12' - 14'

*Anybody with experience your feedback will be appreciated. Remember (2012 - 14) model / engine size too. Thanks

Mine is a 2015 Prestige S Line with 3.0 TFSI (50,000 miles) and I love it!
This extravagant classy BEAST can DO IT, what ever the need!
I am still absolutely amazed by everything excepting fuel economy, but then, a Prius will do nothing this vehicle will do, huh?
I don't like the front end of the Porsche, or only having 5 seat capability, but it is pretty much the same vehicle. All being good!

Thank you, for your take. Do you have regular or air suspension?

Same here. My 2011 had 4-5 issues; 2014 only one issue in 54 months of ownership. They were all mostly minor.

Default my 2012 s line prestige...

I bought as a CPO car. it has had exactly one warranty repair in 113K miles, the chrome started to peel off of the start button! It has been one of the best 4wd sport utes I have ever had and i have had a LOT of different marques, and this one still looks and performs like new!

Yep, I love the Q7 - i've driven and researched to-death - this gen is still the best SUV for city dwellers that also mountain often - even a little off-highway driving.

Sure, list of bugs:
MMI crashed when I listen to music loudly for more than 15 minutes - never really fixed it - just turned my music down a bit.
Both side mirror switches died
Transmission was often indecisive - although I think the software is much better now, ask current '11 owners.
I can't confirm this, and everyone here will think I'm stupid/ crazy or suffering from some sort of dementia, but the Quattro was very slow to respond in deep snow situations - it took some time for me to get the accelerator right - sometimes it took so long that slipping tires would dig us into being stuck before the other wheels got power to them. None of the following Q7 behaved this way.

Hope this helps - again, this is anecdotal... at best.

I also recommend this site - I've submitted data to it for almost 10 years now and I think Michael (founder) is a site sponsor:
