Key stuck in ignition, Q7 does not recognize it's in park

Hey Rob...I have the exact same problem .....tells me I can't lock car since it does not recognize Park with the shifter in the P position then problem goes away when car electronics shuts down......continuing as an intermittent problem..any luck on a solution?

Just got my Q7 back from the dealer warranty repair due to "the vehicle not recognizing it is in park".......it finally generated a code with they elected to replace the transmission part switch due to it not being able to lock the car since the vehicle is not recognizing it is in park.......all seems good; the only change from before is the screen no longer asks me to hit the stop button to lock the steering wheel; but it still works the same way - hit the stop button and the steering locks......my dealer is great so I have a high confidence level this fix should work well.....will let you know if there are any follow-up issues, otherwise...best to Robski97
