If you're referring to the blind spot assist, there are 2 modules behind the rear bumper on each corner. iirc, the driver side is the "slave" module, and the passenger side is the "master". When I had it done, the rear bumper cover was removed, I'm not sure if it's possible to swap without taking off the cover. My slave module failed and I had to have it replaced. after replacement, the sensors need to be recalibrated with a jig that only my dealer had...the tech that first replaced the module didn't do the calibration with the jig, and the blind spot warnings were sporadic and in the wrong locations. Make sure whoever does your replacement uses the jig for the calibration if you actually want the system to work right.

Audi has cause a lot of confusion with the lane change and blind spot feature names being so similar.

If you're talking about the feature that vibrates the steering wheel when crossing over the painted lines that define the traffic lane, the module is located under the plastic cover that hangs below the rear view mirror. It's a self contained system, with the camera and all electronics in the single module. All it connects to is the CAN bus. If you're buying a new module, it needs to be calibrated, a dealer-only service. I never did nail down how much the calibration costs, with hints that it could be in the $500 ballpark. If buying a used module (which I did) you could luck out on the calibration if it's from a same vintage Q7 (I did luck out). The module is coded as to whether or not the vehicle has air suspension. When air suspension is coded, it won't work unless it can communicate with the air suspension system.
