Heh. Putting another set of Conti DWS06's on the Q7 tomorrow. I'd be more open to some others, but want the superior snow performance the Conti's give their first year. I thought they performed solid for me. I got 25K out of them, but could have got to 30K if this was summer instead of winter.

Just got a 2018 Q7 Premium Plus. It came with Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Season RunFlat 285/45-20 Tires. It also came with a jack that was laying loose in the back of the car... I asked about where the jack should be stored and was told to sell it on ebay as it does not have a spare... bc it comes with a flat inflation kit...
So... I guess I'm stuck with only buying runflat tires in the future.... And now hearing that these tires are only good for 30K miles... ouch!! at $350+each.
I need the Mud and Snow rated tires for winter driving in the CA Sierra's ... Is it possible to switch to non-runflat tires? Where would the spare go?

I was looking at Toyo celcius in 265/50-20s
they use a Q5 as a test vehicle.

I am still not sure why the 4M people post on the 4L side.

I run winter tires on mine, but my favorite 3 season tire is the Pirelli Verde AS. The Continental DWS06 will be the best overall tire in the snow. From my experience snow tires will stop 25-30% better than any of the all seasons.
