Wow! It's becoming more and more apparent that Audi of America are real b*$t*rds when it comes to honoring their warranty.

To be fair I am in my CPO warranty now which doesn't usually cover trim. I had hoped since the passenger seat was replaced about a year ago for the same thing they would honor it for the drivers seat. Not so lucky this time. A company the SA recommended called Interior Magic quoted me $100 to repair it. Seems pretty reasonable as my CPO would have cost me $80 anyway.

4.2L & S-Line received all leather and if you purchased the extended leather luxury package (the exact name escapes me at the moment) you received leather door panels, alcantara headliner and partial dash.

My 2012 A4 Prestige cracked too - vinly sides
I was shocked when I had my "leather" seats repaired last summer, only to be told it was vinyl that had cracked on the sides. 8 months later the same spot cracked again.
I'm 5'2, 124 lbs and athletic so I'm not "leaning my weight" against the seat to get in & out of the car.
I had Mercedes for 18 years before buying this A4 and there was no vinyl on their seats. June 2017
