LED Headlights on Q7
i have a 2008 Q7 and was considering replacing the stock headlights with the new LED daytime lights that audi now makes. i would imagine it would cost over $1000 for them - IF they're even compatible back to the 2008s. i'm referring to the ones in the pic below.
was researching on LED lights for the Q7 and came across these. any opinions on these LED daytime lights? called vline from vaistech.
tacky or cool?

also if you want to make the led strips works you have to cough up some more cash and a lil custom fab work on the inner portion of the bumper.

Yes, you can do it. You need new headlights, new blinkers (which will fit just fine in your existing bumper.) The headlights need new "everything".. meaning new ballast, controllers, and bulbs. Also.. you will need a new J519 module. You will also likely need to replace your blinker switch/stock on your steering wheel for the high beams to work properly.
I have researched this and have all the part numbers you need and as people mention there are a few websites/forum postings with all the info. It's a very popular upgrade in Europe with shops offering conversion kits. Just Bing "Q7 facelift retrofit" and you will find some links. Also.. do a search on www.ebay.de and you will see some of the kits offered that use specail harnesses vs. new controllers.
Bottom line.. yes... it can absolultly be done. It's no cheap.
