Lowering (non-air suspension) Q7 options?

no it is not your only option. your options are limited to your budget. if you want to lower and retain functionality and improve handling a coil over suspension is the only way to go but much more expensive than springs alone. if you want to lower but don't mind bounce or nauseous passengers by all means go with springs.
