Need Help
I was on the highway just pulling out to pass and caught a BIG Gator (tire tread thrown from semi truck) around 80 mph. There was absolutely no avoiding it without causing worse damage.
Here are some images below. Any enlightenment appreciated.
Fortunately, it did not seem to affect the alignment or handling!
Can someone show me the air dam chunk missing? What needs to be replaced and how big a job? Should I even be concerned with replacing it?
This is how I found it (drivers side) and needs to be replaced because of missing tabs and being loose.
I am a little concerned with this dent in the frame! Not sure the access panel will stay if I replace it. Thinking about a small self tapping screw to hold it in? At least the frame saved the lines! Notice the scuffs on skid plate.

looks like damage is done, id self tap a short screw that access panel back down and call it a day..
I found a company that sells real metal skid plates, but its overseas and to get a full set for engine/transmission/rear diff imported is going to be like ~$1k USD, nearly half of it shipping.. so mebe one day, but not today.

Looks like you're talking about #7 on this parts website:
2014 Audi Audi Q7 United States market: Body Underbody lining
Looks like you can order a new left and right piece, I'd check ebay.

My main concern is the air dam. Is it really important? I figure it is part of a bigger piece.
I am thinking of shaving it down flush at this point.

Its just a lip, not sure its doing much aero wise. Personally I would just leave it. But who knows, I get bored and have a dremel, so I can't say I wouldn't do anything!
