Default New owner -2011 CPO Q7 TDI -maintenance

Hi folks, my wife just got a 2011 CPO q7 TDI with 33,600 km (~20,000 miles). It came with the factory roof rack, winter mats (but no summer mats) and a set of studded wittier tires on 5 spoke 18" alloy rims with an Audi center cap.

Looking at the maintenance schedule it doesn't look to hard. However this is our 1st diesel vehicle. Any good links or service/repair manuals for fuel filter ,DPF cleaning etc?

Anyone here do some of their own maintenance?

I have a MaxJax lift at home. Is the rear lift point on the Q7 [ shaped? It doesn't look to be a ferrous material.

No one here does their own maintenance?

Service manual recommendations for a 2011 q7 tdi? There is a service manual on DVD for q7's but only up to MY 2009.

I do my own maintenance. It has 38,500 miles and has not been in a dealer service dept for any maintenance.

The Bentley manual, while limited to 2009 and having no info on the TDI engine, is still quite useful; and I use it regularly for my 2010 Q7 3.0 TDI.

What kind of info are you seeking?

Simple stuff really to start.

Fuel Filter R/R
DPF R/R

The vehicle just had the 25,000km service done at the dealership before we bought it. (at 33,000km)

Brakes - although I've done brakes on VW, Porsche, Honda, so I don't anticipate any problems.

The TDI engine isn't in the service manual?

Our public library has AllData, I may check that out.

I have not replaced the fuel filter. I ***=u=me that when I do purchase the part, it will be quite plain to see what to do to replace it. That's the way it was with the fuel filter on my MB Ml320CDI. I don't know that the Audi will be that much different.

The DPF does not get replaced. The CPU has an automatic cleaning program in it. If that is not adequate, it can be done manually with the VAG-COM software.

Oil changes by vacuum extraction through the dip stick tube are simple. The oil filter is on the top center of the engine and is easy to access.

The engine air filter can be done pretty much the same as the gasoline engine in the Bentley manual. The same is true for the cabin air filter.

Buy a single 2 liter AdBlue bottle. Use it to replenish your AdBlue tank. Then cut the bottom out to use it as a filter funnel to add more from a 2.5 gallon jug, which is considerably cheaper than the 2 liter bottle. Diesel Exhaust Fluid from any auto parts or truck stop is the same stuff.

Just be sure to replenish the AdBlue before you get the low AdBlue indicator light. If the light come on, you'll need the dealer or a VAG-COM unit to turn it off.

Anything else?

Diesel Particulate Filter. It's a component of the exhaust that filters out particulates to reduce emissions and help with clean air.

This is pretty useful information, I'm getting ready to perform my first service on my 2011 Q7. I do wish I could get my hands on the maintenance manual.
