Official Press Photo: The New Audi Q7

WOW :)....I am..
First things first. I am glad to see that those huge elephant ear side view mirrors from the spy shots have been replace with these beautiful body colored ones.
The grille fits this big beast very nicely and i really like how the side indicators are integrated into the front. (I cant wait to see them turn on).
I also like the muscular curve of the hood where it meets the headlights. It looks very menacing.
The only thing that bugs me is the bland space below the indicators. They could have added something there to make it less bland.
Overall I am extremely impressed on that the front end came out. Now all we have to wait for is some back end pics.... and that could certainly change my opinion.
Oh by the way, my mother is ditching her minivan in 1 1/2 years and I am advising her to purchase the Q7 if the price is right.
Please share your opinions
Thanks, Damien

Late to the game...
Given gas prices of well over $2/gallon, now seems like an exceptionally poor time to introduce an SUV. I think Audi's doing great things with its 2.0T A4 and A3 offerings.
This may not be popular, especially on this forum, but I think SUVs are a real problem. Think your A4 or A6 is a safe car? Wait until you get hit by an Excursion. There is an arms race on the road right now made possible by low gas prices and low gas taxes (relative to Europe, anyway). I'm hopeful that higher gas prices and the expectation that they'll stay that way will cause Americans to rethink their choices.
Just my $0.02. Needless to say, the Q7 is not on my list. After driving an A4 with the sports package for years, I could never switch to something with a high center of gravity. It's just not as much fun!

Well, I'll be the first to say it .. . Looks Sweeeeeeeeet! (the front)
Should have kept the mirrors from the concept (PikesPeak) rather than using the large mirrors.
Can't say that Im used to the back or sides. Im sure it will look better once its in person... This always happens with Audis, every single model . . . trashed at first, then it comes out and people like it...
