Default PLEASE! Any chance of a 2018 or 2019 TDI? Anybody know anything new?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a gas 3.0 2018 q7. I will be trading back my Gen 1 2011 TDI. We have loved our TDI. Awesome car.

I want another TDI! Everything I've heard from local sales managers at dealerships says No Chance. Bummer.

Is there any chance if I wait things will change. Anybody know anything new on this? Thank you.

Short answer...no

Long answer...it will require some rollbacks of emissions requirements to make it economically feasible, and a lot more TDI owners screaming at the automakers for the product.

While Trump might be happy to say screw the EPA and their regulations, he also thinks the Germans are taking advantage of the USA on trade. In the end though, I don't think he'll make anything easier in order for Germans to sell more vehicles in the USA. He's probably quite happy to keep them out given his rhetoric on trade.

agreed. although he would probably like to see more imports, taxed. Or maybe a shiny new factory for Audi to build and sell Q7 TDIs....
