Q7 2008 ABS LIGHT IS ON
HELLO, I am back, and I need a little help please. My ABS light came on when I drove through a little water. This has happened before but rarely, This time it did not go off, and now car repair is telling me I need to replace the entire system for $2100 plus labor. The repair place called Audi and stated there are and only two available in the country. I read on an Audi thread forum that there are kits is there a kit for my car 2008 Audi Q7 and if so what is the average price of the kit?
Thanks

Do you have the codes from your vehicle? Is this repair shop reputable? Just curious, I'm suspect that driving through a little water would take out the ABS module.

I will ask for codes. Is it atypical for ABS to need to be replaced?
It is Bob Sumerel Tire which is owned by investors who own our region of AAA with locations in our region Oh Ky IN.
The kicker is the light just came on while driving to the shop to get my tires rotated and to check a slow leak.
They are stating the slow leak tire needs to be replaced thus all four tires should be replaced sicne the car is AWD. I purchased the tires Oct 2016, and I sometimes don't go 10 miles in three days as I work from home.
I ask for the mileage since I purchase the tires and they only have in the system my name- and tire numbers on the paperwork. Nothing else.
Something is fishy in Denmark or should I say Ohio
