Q7 2012 Steering Alignment Problem
#31
Ugh. So disappointed. 18,000 miles and two alignments later, and one completely bald front right tire (same as one of the previous poster's experience) same pull to the right. New tires improve overall handling and road noise, but still that slight nagging pull! I feel like I am in the twilight zone.
When my wife took the car in for the 15K service, all they mentioned to her was that she needed new tires. Didn't even suggest an alignment after seeing the bald front right tire I suspect because they know the issue and no it would be futile. I took it back and had to fight with the manager to get another alignment - but I'm a glutton for punishment, still no difference.

WTF?!!!!!!!!!! i have this same issue and i thought it was an alignment problem so i didn't think anything of it until i saw this post just now... i've had my alignment done twice in the past two months because of this issue and i thought the dealership folks are incompetent.
can't you just adjust the steering wheel instead to make it straight? lol ... f me

Just purchased a new 2012 Q7 3.0 TDI but steering is out slightly and Audi don't appear to be able to fix. It's got 21" 295/35 tyres and I understand wheels will tend to follow the road but steering wheel wants to sit a few degrees left all the time. Natural road follow is not consistent for left camber and right camber which helps rule out the 'road follow' theory. If I hold steering wheel perfectly straight car veers right. Let go of wheel and it will always try to sit a few degrees left. Audi have examined and said vehicle alignment is correct. Any advice would be greatly appreciated by this frustrated owner!
I don't know if you guys have noticed this
