Q7 2015 295/40/r21 ok ?
I have 2015 Q7 came with 295/35/R21 Pirelli P-Zero and after 15K miles time for new tires. Going with Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 but would like to get more sidewall height so was thinking 295/40/R21. The "40" is not listed as OEM but Conti makes them. Sure is plenty room in rear wheel well but not 100% sure about turning/etc. in front. Has anyone put 295/40/R21 on their Q7 ? I've done tons of Googling searches and not clear the results.
Note, my Q7 does not have the adjustable air ride option settings.

they will fit but your torque, navigation, mph, mileage, turning radius, etc will all be affected. you will fill out your wheel well qith an additional 15mm of tire.

I don't mind the small changes in mpg, etc......but they will not rub on full turn ? ....or hit top well on hard bump ?

Tires.com called the 275/40/21 a Plus Zero for the 295/35/21. I put these on my MY2014 Q7 and they are great. The ride is smoother. They are a little bit narrower but I have not noticed a handling difference.

your mpg change will be negligible the other items i mentioned would be substantial. rubbing would be an issue dependent on the tire manufacturer and they way they spec the tire. some may rub some may not. a friend of mine had the pirelli in that size on the rs4 style multispoke 21" wheels and did not have any issues rubbing (adaptive suspension but not sure if it matters and i coded the vehicle for the larger tire/wheel.).

I replaced the tires with like-sized that were already on there, never considering that they were possibly not the correct or OEM size. Tire rack doesn't show the 295/40/21 as applicable to my vehicle, and the speedometer has been a little off (indicating lower than actual speed).
I am looking in the owner's manual at all the tire sizes and their pressures, and 295/40/21 is listed as one of the eight choices (and one of the four "high performance" choices). So now I'm not so sure this is an incorrect tire for my vehicle after all.
After getting the new tires yesterday, the speedometer is now accurate, so I guess that amount of missing tread does make a difference.
