Default FRONT HEADLIGHT WASHERS STUCK OPEN

This is my 3rd Audi with headlight washers and this issue is new to me. The funny thing is when I tried to push one washer back into the vehicle housing the other washer sticks out further indicating there connected somehow. It just looks so silly and I hating the thought of a day at the dealer for this.

Any thoughts

Default Pull it out against spring and twist a little

They are spring loaded. Motor out spring back but when you use them at high speed sometimes they twist a little.
I thought about heating the locator prong and bending it slightly but never got around to doing it.
It will work fine again anyway.

Default be glad you have them...

I thought I had them for the longest time only to find out they only come with the 4.2 premium package.

Yeah, I thought the 3.6P would have them, only to find out, the S-Line pack includes them...

Default I went a year thinking I had them due to the cutouts in the bumper..

took a trip to the dealer and me telling them my headlight washers didn't work to find out otherwise.

Default Just gently pull on it to take the weight... you will feel the spring resisting

then re-align and let it back.
I have pulled it out really hard and far just to see if it locks or breaks (cos then they would have to replace it). They have a lot of travel but you only need to take the strain, just enough to lift the 2 pins off the moulding inside.
Its easy, mine has done it about 4 times in two years always after using them on motorway driving. Always the same one too.
BTW they come out about 3" further.
