Q7: Downsizing from 20" to 18" wheels for ride quality

In my older cars I just stuck a mag-mount on the roof, routed the cable by the door frame, and didn't have to drill any holes. But I also never had a sunroof before, either, and that thread says the roof is aluminum. I also haven't pursued it seriously either, because my job and life have become busier, leaving no time for Search & Rescue (which is the only time I used the radio).

Hi All - new to this bosrd and to the Audi Q7. I've just purchased a 2013 TDI s Line with 20 inch wheels. Wondering if there is any issue with fitting winter tires with 18 inch rims to this vehicle? All comments appreciated!

See my pic. The rears are 20 inch and the fronts are 18 inch. I was 1/2 way to switching over to winter tires. They are the mountain peak winter scorpions. And they did well on my drive last week. See the video here https://imgur.com/a/E3T184M tough to tell where the road stops and the guard rails start.

Running 18" winter tires on our '13 TDI that normally rides on 20's. No issues. Only an issue if you try to run 17's unless you are willing to mod a little
