Q7 HVAC alwasy blowing hot one side
I have a 2008 Audi Q7 Premium that intermittently blows only hot air on the passenger side. There is nothing wrong with the Freon pressure, all zones blow cold when needed, it's only the passengers side that 50% of the time it gets stuck on full heat no matter what is selected. Even when LO is selected. Something is sticking. Please help.... What is sticking? and Where is it? A picture would help or someone I can call.

^^ Listen to Lou's recommendation. Our A6 did the exact same thing.

This is not how air-conditioning systems work. As in your first post you identified that all other zones of the vehicle blow cold air on request, you only mentioned that the passengers side outlet vent blows hot/ warm but the others cold. This would indicate that the blend door for the passengers side heater outlet is stuck and not closing off when the temp controller is changed etc. front and rear a/c evaporators cores are just one core each. 1 for the front and 1 for the back!!
The q7 is a 4 zone a/c system meaning that there is 2 flaps on each core.
2 at the front 2 at the back. These 2 flaps then can be separated via driver/ passenger input as also can the rear corners.
The q7 a/c system is a HVAC design, this means it uses heated water and a/c gas to pass through the air conditioning box/unit. Remember 1 at the front and 1 at the back and still only 1 a/c system/ hoses for both units and only 1 a/c compressor.
moral of the story is if 3 of his 4 outlets zones were cold but 1 was warm, why would his a/c system be low on gas or not working correctly. Unless people are qualified or experienced in a/c systems then unnecessary recommendations of expensive a/c servicing should be kept to a minimum until the correct faults have been rectified.
As for the front temperature blend doors they are loacted just before the 1 blower fan for the front and will require access from behind the glove box area to help clip the door actuator in place or possibly the door flap motor itself.

Yeah, logically it's mechanical but it's not... it's Audi hence without experience, people will tear up the car and replace good parts for nothing. LOL. It's ok, everyone's his/her own and non experienced advices.
