Default Q7 Washer Fluid Tank Sensor?

Anyone know how to replace the washer fluid tank level sensor? My light is on and the tank is full. The tank looks to be located somewhere on the passenger side. I took a look under the wheel well fender liner and don't see it. Any clues greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem with my 2005 A-8. Would like to hear suggestions.

I have the same problem. It happened after using rainx windshield washer fluid (the orange kind). I did some research and it appears to be causing the problem.

Did any of you use that brand of windshield washer fluid?

I used that one, and used normal blue stuff, one day it just came on and it stays on even though I refilled it and there is no leaks!!!
Annoying!!!

I cannot find more info on it.

You'll need to change the sensor from what I have read the rain x formula builds up a film.

Yes, I used the rain x stuff too. Never had an issue in my 2005 a6. I did replace the sensor. Easy job, it's just behind the fender liner on the passenger (usa) side. Just have a bucket handy when you pull the sensor out.

I replaced it in the Q7 but you don't have to. I drained out the rain-x when I pulled the sensor, then poured water in the fill to get it all out. I cleaned off the sensor probes with some acetone and put it back in. Filled with some summer fluid, no more light. I've always used the rain-x in all my cars, no more.

this new orange rain-x all season fluid is awful... it doesn't work like the individual ones did in the past... it leaves streaks, it ruined my blades. i am done with it.
