Q7 Wiper Blades 26"?

I bought 2 pairs of Goodyear Assurance wiper blades at Costco today, as they are on special for $7.99 a pair! The guide book said 24" for 07-'10 Q7. Mine is an '11, but didn't figure the blade size would be different, so got the 24".

Got them home and noted they appear to be about 2" shorter than OEM. I take it correct size is 26", left and right?

Thanks!

26" on the driver, 24" on the passenger...

Same all the way back to 2007.

Be careful with those new blades - there was a thread in this forum recently about generic blades falling out of the carrier which then scratched the windshield up pretty bad, had happened to a couple cars.

Problem is some other sites show 26" for both sides.

Just bought some new blades. Wife went thru a car wash with the wipers in the rain sensing mode. The rest is history. The books call for one 24" and one 26". The original equipment on my '09 was both 24". I have found on other cars that synthetic blades work considerably better than natural rubber. Good old Wal Mart is my supplier of choice for wiper blades.

So you don't have to get the blades from the dealer?? I need new blades too. The blades on my A6 have to be purchased form the dealer for some reason. If I can get Q7's from Wal-mart , great. I'll have to check it out.

I doubt your A6 blades aren't available elsewhere. I have purchased blades for my Q7 at Amazon(Valeo) and at Walmart(Michelin). All look identical to the stock units.

Because of the way the A6 blades clip on they are custom for the 2003 year. I've never seen anything generic on the market like it. you slide the cover to one side and they break in half you slide the one side on the arm then you slide the other part over it. Its really very slick but I think custom fit. all the ones I've seen in teh market place aren't like that.

In that case I would try to replace the inserts on the old blades. I did that on my Touareg before the Valeo's became commonly available as I refused to pay $50 a set at the dealer.

Hate to bump an old thread, but RainX is saying 26" for driver and passenger for my 2014 Q7. Is that correct? Someone on here said 26" driver and 24" passenger which seems to make more sense?
