Question about "Vent" on Climate Control Unit
Having issues with A/C. Compressor is fine, tested that. Wanted to eliminate this as the problem. The Mitchell1 manual states make sure this is open. On my unit you cannot close or open it. What am I missing? Below is picture and text from mitchell1.
For a faulty measurement by Instrument Panel Interior Temperature Sensor (G56) (installed only on Climatronic control module Comfort version - A -), check intake grille - B - of trim panel for Climatronic control module, (it must not be closed) and function of Interior Temperature Sensor Fan (V42) using the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS5051 in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.

Open as in the vent is not blocked by debris; like tape for instance.

Use the small nozzle of a vacuum cleaner straight onto it to clear as much dust as possible.
On some models, there is a small fan to draw air in past the sensor to improve the temperature control reaction time.
