My rear climate control does not seem to provide any heat until the engine reaches normal temp.
The front warms up normally but the rear just stays cold until the needle gate to the middle then it gets warm as normal.

Any ideas - there are no codes reported so I suspect its a thermostat issue or something mechanical.

I'm in the same boat, it takes forever for the rear vents to warm up. do you have the 4 zone climate system? that's what I have.

try with the vent mode not on auto. it should blow air from all the vents equally. if not then you have to dig a little bit deeper into this.

Yes it is 4 zone.

I don't remember checking it but I am pretty the rear used to heat up at the same time as the front so you would feel noticeable heat within a mile or so from starting out.

I found a self-study which covers the climate control with the rear unit as well so I will have a look at that tonight.

We are skiing in France on Saturday so I would like to find a quick fix for it.
