Default Replace the front pads only?

Has anyone tried replacing the front pads only, provided plenty of beef on the rotors?
Also, has anyone tried Jurid pads?

I recommend replacing the rotors as well because the old ones most likely have reached the minimum thickness.
Here is thread about it

I replaced pads only at about 40000 miles. (with OEM) About to do rotors and pads and sensors at 96000 miles. (we are pretty easy on brakes on this vehicle.) The rotors have a significant lip at the edge. They are probably under thickness but they are nowhere near thin enough to cause problems or be dangerous. The only downside is that the lip at the edge of the rotor will cause the wear sensor to wear thru a bit earlier than with new rotors. I just bypassed the sensor when it actuated the service light a few thousand miles back. My pads still have approx 3 mm remaining material. (about the thickness of the backing plate)

Jurid was an OE supplier for P-cars going from memory to back in the 993-911 days. I've run them, Textars and Pagids on my old Coupe Quattro that had 993 brakes on it. Anyway, measure your rotor thickness. If still in spec and no other braking related issues (shimmy/shudder under braking) then just do pads.

I have Jurid ceramics on mine and they produce less dust, bit really well when warm but the initial bite when cold is not as good as oem.

When I did mine recently bot the front and rear were equally worn - are your rears still thick?

Running Hawk PC and enjoying the quiet and lack of black dust.

The rears are much thicker. They were done about 20K miles ago.

Are Hawk's made in the USA? Or are they Chinese?
