Default Sirius with NAv- Traffic update

Does anyone know if when you order the traffic and music package from Sirius if the traffic is interegated with the Q NAv system which is suppossed to give you traffic updates?

Spoke with Sirius and they told me that if the car MAnufacterer OEM Nav is either NAv-TEq or Teleatlas- GDP that it will work?

Thanks

I know thats what I told Sirius but they say that when the signal is sent over it automatically updates you on your nav - screen is this true?

Default Re: As the NAV is DVD based I don't see how sirius info would be integrated

The data that's displayed on your MAP screen is being read from the DVD. I don't know how traffic information would be displayed based on how the current system is configured.

I think someone at Sirius is blowing smoke to get you to purchase additional services, but check the manual to be absolutely sure or call 1 800 Audi.

Default Sirius Traffic

Please see link for more info, it looks like only Alpine Navigation can access this service from sirius. Acura's Nav has Real Traffic from XM.

http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Sirius/CachedPage&c=FlexContent&cid=1134268001280 #</a
<

Default I called sirius

Customer service advised to find out from audi if the nav system is compatible with real traffic and that the car navigation may need a alpine turner. I have Email AudiUSA and will post when I get an answer.
