Default Steering Wheel Chrome Touch Up

Has anyone encountered blistering or peeling off of the plastic on the chrome ring inside the steering wheel - and is there anything that can be done about it?? eg. paint, spray??

Yes but vehicle is garaged most of the time. I suspect my wife's hand lotion.

There is only a small area affected however so who knows?

Lotions, perfumes, etc have such bad chemicals that are never good for a cars interior. That could possibly be what caused it.
