Tire pressure -- door or manual?

35-35 will yield a cushy ride but it will wear out tires much more quickly. On our 2011 on 20” wheels I always ran 44-44 unless heavily loaded or towing. Then I ran 44-49.
We always got great tire life and personally I prefer the crisper feel. The vehicle feels much more agile. I’m running 44-44 on our new to us 2015 on 19” wheels too for the same reasons.

Technically to properly set the tire pressure the autocross scene has the right idea. Using a liquid chalk you mark the 4 tires in a couple spots from on the tread down an inch or so onto the side wall. Then go push your car hard on some turns. Get out and check the marks. The chalk gets worn off where the tire hits the road. Ideally you set your tire pressure so that all the tread touches, but no sidewall at all. Now if you don't plan to do spirited cornering you can omit that part and test and tune in the same manner.
Lower pressure means more chance to run onto the side wall, higher pressure is going to make you not use all your tread.
