Default Tire Replacement Recommendations

My 2014 Q7 has 55k on it and I am about to change the tires for the 3rd time ( 15, 35 & 55K). Is it normal for 2014 Q7 ? Is there any recommendations that I should follow?
Please suggest

The Q7 is a super heavy vehicle, they all eat tires and brake pads. It's normal to get around 25-30K miles per set or less, depending on how you drive. If you stick to the same brand you can take advantage of the treadwear warranty and get comped $$ on your new tires. I got new DWS06's, again, in November and got a about $450 off the price of the new set using the treadwear warranty. Rotate those tires every 5-10k miles.

Make sure theyre properly inflated.

Also, drive as gently as possible. Brake easy, take turns easy etc.

I just put the 3rd set on my 2015 Q7 at about 52000 miles, so you're in the same neighborhood as me. This vehicle is well known for eating tires, even if you drive very gently. It gets worse if you use the more sport-oriented tires like the DWS06 (which is what I've used twice now), but even the more highway oriented ones will be lucky to last to their treadwear rating. A true Light Truck tire might do better, but I have not tried those.

I would disagree that the DWS06 is a sport tire, how do you figure? It’s an all season tire. The reason I use them is that I don’t want a summer only tire on the Q7. I go skiing and they are a great snow tire, unless the tread is low. It’s not worth running a separate set of winter only tires where I’m located.

I had DWS06 on my Avant and loved them. Right now on my q7 I have the scorpions maybe because they are a more dense rubber and might last longer? But I notice a lot of road noise with them.

Does the DWS06 operate at a Michelin S4S level of "sport"? No, of course not. It's certainly one of the more sport oriented all season tires out there, though. Or, at least, one of the more sport oriented ones that actually has a prayer of operating in white stuff as a 4-season tire.
