Default Unable to reach correct operating temp

After last service at the Moeller dealer, the car did not rech correct operating temp , temp was varying between 50 and 70 degree C. Down hill the temp was bearly reaching 50 degrees.
car back to volkswagen dealer as we do not have an Audi dealer in town. They changed out the Tthermostate. Still afterpaying 1000 £ problem is still not solved in fact temp was closer to 50 degrees.
Have now tried Audi dealer in neighboring thry did not solve the issue either, but identified air i the cooling system , which was removed, temp is dlightly better mac 70 degrees.
Still need to have the car back to dealers work shop, but uncetainif they are able to identify problem. Computer checks are not i dentifying any faults
any ideas?

Hi Arne, can you include some information on your vehicle: year, engine, kilometers, etc.?

has it been especially cold lately? If radiator fans peg at maximum all the time a diesel can really struggle to reach operating temp when facing sub-freezing temps.

Are you determining the operating temperature via driver display? My 2015 TDI runs at about 100C at operating temperature. Does the temperature gauge never reach mid-range? Do you see any change in operating temperature now that it is warmer outside?

Temperature is still low as seen on the gauge in instrument panel . Normal temp previously was 90 degrees. With high load uphill temp is approching 90. But drops if load is decreased eg downhill.

have it scanned with VCDS/ObdEleven or Dealer tool..

are fans running constantly even when not to operating temp? Fan Controllers tend to fail in a safe way (ie run @ 100% and not 0%)
