I am completely new to personal car customization so please be patient... i have a 2008 a4 and it currently does not have DRL or the auto on switch. I would like to install the auto switch (which is easy enough - just push and twist). now the question is when changing switches, do i need to change codes with a VAG-COM, run an addition wire to a connection pin for fuses... or its it as simple as plug and play as the code might be turned on but the option (since the original switch doesn't offer it) isn't available.
if need to know what headlights are in the car. they are currently stock but will be replaced with halogen projector headlight with LED DRL
