Default Changing MAP lamps!

2007 Q7, i want to change the map light bulbs, and have no idea how to open up that part.

any help please, pics if possible :-)

the entire center console plastic piece is snapped to the roof. Just pull down on it : start from the emd with the home linik and work your way around to the windshield.

not to hijack the thread, but how about the visor light (passenger side)? how do we go about checking if its a fuse, bulb or wiring? thnks

I posted a writeup a while back about how to replace the interior bulbs in a Q7 with LED ones. I covered the map light in there. See:

BTW, I remember the map lights being tricky to get out because you need to spin them and pull them out at the same time. I eventually got them out, but one of mine fell between the seat and the console and disappeared deep under the floor. Luckily it doesn't rattler. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND COVERING THIS AREA WITH A TOWEL BEFORE YOU TRY TO PULL THEM OUT.

(I totally forgot about the visor lights -- they're still regular bulbs).
