Where are the fuses for the cigarette lighters in an Audi Q7?
Where are the fuses for the cigarette lighters in an Audi Q7 (2006, S Line 3.0 TDi)? It must be all separate fuses as the sockets have gone one by one, first the ones in the central console, then the ones in the rear passenger area and finally now the one in the boot. I have checked the fuse box in the boot on the right behind the panel, but all those fuses seem OK, so the fuses must be somewhere else, any ideas?

Pop the cover off the side of the left side of the dash for the front one, by the gear shift. The two for the rear of the console are on the right side of the dash.
25Amp fuse, second carrier down, 6th from the left. At least it is for the two rear ones.
I have the same problem. Tomtom charger blew the fuse a couple of weeks ago, now the iphone charger has done the same. Must be a short somewhere.

Any information for fuse on 2019 Q7?
So I keep blowing up my fuse for the 12V socket due to USB chargers and am tired of going to the dealership every time just to replace a simple fuse. I went through the manual and it seems a bit confusing. I did not find any fuse box in the front hood going by some suggestions on the web and was unable to open the cover for the box in the luggage compartment. A net with steel grill obstructs and keeps the cover lid from opening and lid seems to be attached to the rest of the felt carpet in the trunk. The manual doesn't provide information on how to detach the grill and cover from the trunk cover. I am also unable to figure out how to detach and open the fuse box in the Foot Rest compartment where the manual seems to suggest the "Sockets" fuse is. It's odd that the manual says that the fuse is 1Amp (Row C 6 Black) when even regular single output chargers nowadays are minimum 2 or 2.4Amps. Chargers with multiple 2 to 3Amp ports and fast chargers require even more anywhere from 4 to 5 Amps minimum!
So if anyone knows exactly where the that 12V sockets fuse really is and how to open it, that would be great. Also do you think replacing the fuse with say a 5Amp fuse should cause any concern when these sockets are actually supposed to be made for higher amp drains of cigarette lighters?

FYI: 2.4A @ 5v = 12W / 12V = 1A, amps changes w/voltage
Dont go upgrading fuses, fuses are designed to be sacrificed before your wiring.
Sounds like you need to ensure clean contacts in the charging port, if you have a voltage drop due to corrosion or something then the amps will go up as voltage goes down.
I dont know where your fuses are, your in the MK1 subforum..
