Year 2011 - Q7 Not Starting - Strange
Hello all,
I am new to this forum and this is my first Audi. I bought Q7 only last week and drove over 300 miles. All was good. today I just came home after driving 10 miles and parked the car. When I went back to restart the car, it did not start again. It only make a little noise and nothing starts. I took a video and uploaded to youtube for your reference. Here is the youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tMvkHlqpXc
Can somebody please help me? What to do? I am stuck.

most likely it is the battery
In the Q7 the battery is very fussy about its voltage. If a battery is going away it will exhibit all sorts of odd problems. Have you tried to jump start it (connections are under the hood RTFM) When you replace a battery you also need to tell the onboard systems that there is a new battery so that its computer system can re-adjust itself and maintain voltage.
oh ------- and your steering wheel is on the WRONG side! 8^)

still could be a battery issue

it is possible that the battery has a dead cell or 2 in it so the current is not flowing properly. It could also be many other slightly scary issues, sounds like you need a qualified service center. If you have access to a code reader you might check for any fault codes stored in your system. Good luck
Its really puzzling me. Today being Sunday, I cannot take family out!

I think this will require a visit to a specialist.
Just a quick update. I tried again this morning and to my amazement the car started for the first time! I tried turning it off and on for about 5-6 times, no problem in starting. then I drove the car for about 500 meters and turned it off. And its not starting ever since.

I just had a thought...
are you using the start stop button feature with your smart key. If so you may not be pressing on the brake pedal hard enough. Mine did this early on in my ownership and I found that letting my foot off the brake pedal then reapplying it harder, it allowed the system to work perfectly. I have not had this issue since as I apply the brake pedal firmly before I push the start button......just a random thought!

Have you had a look at replacing/ swapping over the starter motor relay and or the 2 ECM power supply relays as these control the starting procees. You will be able to change over ecm ones as they are the same part number but the starter maybe a different type. Swapping with another from your car is a quick cost free exercise and may solve your problem which may lead to buying a new single relay from audi.
some quick googleing will point you in the right direction.
Located on the passenger side engine bay under the windscreen corner when you lift up that platic flap. You will see a cover that is held down by about 5 torx screws, remove this and you are in business mate.
