2011 control arm bushing

Hi Guys,

My local garage told me that a bushing of the right front control arm is up for replacement.
Now he also says because of that the entire arm has to be replaced.

Is that correct? As I see these bushings are sold separately.

Thanks

The control arms for the Q7 are aluminum, you can press them out and new ones in. But issues will come from the aluminum not being spec tight holding the bushing. If you search around you'll see it across the other lines. Touaregs and Cayennes have steel arms, you could install (interchangeable) and future proof yourself; if thats the route you want to take.
