2015 3.0T Q7 Towing a 5,000lb trailer?

Hey all,

I have a '15 Q7 with Air Suspension, towing package, brake controller, and the 3.0T engine. Rated towing capacity is 6,600 lbs, as I understand it. I'm looking at a camper that's 22' long with the following specs:

Dry Weight: 4,695 lbs.
Payload Capacity: 1,280 lbs.
GVWR: 5,975 lbs.
Hitch Weight: 460 lbs.

Thoughts on whether this will be an OK combination? I know the GVWR is well below the 6,600 lbs, but I recall the 6,600 included cargo in the trunk of the Q7 and the weight of the passengers. But I could be wrong. I've seen website that say it includes it, and some that say it doesn't.

I also know that I'm probably overthinking this...

Thanks in advance:
Mike

Dry Weight is a bit deceiving, after you've fitted batteries, and gas, and supplies those things get heavy fast.. I'm not worried about your towing capabilities at all, you are fine on that front.. but ~1200lb payload capacity is rubbish IMO, my Golf towed more than that with a tiny lil cargo trailer for car camping, thats a very tight budget for such a heavy rig..

Ive got 3klb payload capacity, and a 7k gvwr trailer.. its about 20ft long.. tows great w/my diesel and air suspension.
