Ad Blue problem

HAs anyone had the Ad Blue message come up? I have a 2010 with 1700 miles on it. I had the ad Blue message say need to fill in 1500 miles. this is way early so I had my dealer investigate and the tank was way low so they added several gallons. Well, now less that a month later I'm getting the same message. The dealer says they checked the pump and it was fine. If I have to get the tank filled again I can only assume I have a leak.

Anyone else had any ad Blue issues?

Also, Does anyone know if the ad blue stinks? I would imagine it smells like urine but I don't know. I haven't seen any puddles or anything.

i've got a 2009, adblue was filled at 15,000 mi. service, no issues.

your dealer failed on the PDI to properly reset the adblue warning. They went through this when they first came out in 2009. You would think they would read the factory messages telling them what to do. Personally it is inexcusable now.

And yes this happened to me right after the first service. Problem is I had a nearly full tank but for some reason that does not matter. Your tank can be full but if not reset properly it still wont start in 1500 miles.

I also read that the rate of injection can be adjusted but must be within certain parameters so perhaps your dealer could check it.

I Got My Q back from the shop today. They decided the fuel gauge for the ad blue tank is bad. Now a new one must be ordered from Germany. It will take 10-14 days. I hope I don't need to go more than 1500 miles by then.

I worry about how much of the car must be taken apart to get to the ad blue tank. I know it is located above the wheel well by the fuel door.
