Q7 - Change 2nd Row Configuration from 2 Seater to 3/Bench Seating
 

Hi,
Is it possible to change/replace 2nd Row Seating (2 seats) with a 3/bench Seats on my Audi Q7?
Looking forward to some positive responses.

Probably, check on Jim Ellis Audi parts site for the diagram see if the floor plan are the same. However the third row can't be added since there is some structural differences.

Was just hoping that if someone has tried doing this before.
Not touching the 3rd Row at all.

You can search on ebay.de for Q7 seats... they have the more supportive S-line seats there. I'm sure they'll have the 2nd row captain chairs, but you might have to buy the entire set.

I am not looking to buy the captain seat.
I want the 2nd row as a 3 seater hence a bench seat or whatever the previous Q7's had.

Search the threads a bit as i seem to recall that somebody else was looking to swap out seats the opposite way to you -- maybe you can find an ally.

I was the one that wanted the opposite...

I looked into this and it will work. Maybe we can swap.

Count me in as a potential swap or trade.. I'd like to go from 2nd row bench to captains chairs. Got me a 2012 Q7 sline with black leather. Would love to see examples of anyone who's done this. I seen threads that talk about wanting but no pics of anyone who's actually done it.

If you are struggling for odd parts, Rashid at www.q7parts.co.uk may well be able to help.
I believe they will ship to the US but bear in mind, some parts will be RHD specific - so make sure you are careful in what you order.

I will surely write to them.
RHD parts works for us coz in India we are RHD.

Yes.
We have the Audi Q7 in India since 2008..
It is the same as you get in the UK.

I have the black captain chairs. Also looking to trade for the bench due to the new family member.

I want someone to let me know if i order a new seat what modifications will i have to do?
I mean, will the mounts on the floor be the same or no and what additional parts will i need to put

I can't find any examples if anyone who's actually done this type of swap.

My only issue is to know if the mounts are in the same place of a 6 seater & 7 seater.(Which I think should be the same)
Someone please help me.

That's so cool, I never knew they had this option for the 2nd row. I'd rather have the two chairs than the bench. The middle seat isn't that big anyway so would be better as an arm rest and some cup holders. (Or they could put a fridge in the middle under the arm rest :) )
