Does anyone know what the name of the module that goes in the compartment directly underneath the armrest?

Is it the Navigation module, MMI Module, or the AMI Module? I am totally confused. Recently purchased a Q7 at auction. The compartment is empty and Radio, Nav and MMI are all dead.

Thats the AMI unit. The other modules are in the trunk behind the panel on the right.

That is what I was thinking. It must have had one and was removed because, correct me if I am wrong, they didn't come pre-wired for AMI? The cradle and all of the wiring harnesses are there.

I thought that had someting to do with the fact that the MMI was not working. But after reading about all of the MMI failures, I guess it is just the MMI control that is shot.

Has it been stolen? That would leave a missing link in the MOST loop. Are there two fibre optic ends showing? Possibly one with the little black connector? They are the orange ones with ribbed black armour. They should be connected end to end to bypass.
