Tire pressure monitor

Is there a way to see the actual tire pressure on each wheel? when i go into Tire pressure, only option i have is to store it. all my previous car will show each wheel with their current pressure... i have not being able to find this yet.

is it possible?

No

Is this a KIT and who did you buy it from?

This is pretty cool. How did you do this?

That's exactly what I was looking for. Tell us

The TPM on my A8 looks like that. Q7 does not show any details on the MMI - only option is to store the pressures when going into the TPM section.

I questioned this when my 2011 Q7 was delivered. There are two types. I would be interested to know if the TPMS can be retrofitted?

This is the answer I found:
(Copied from another site)

TPM
Tyre pressure monitoring with wheel speed sensor
If the tyre pressure monitoring system uses a wheel speed sensor, wheel electronics are not fitted in the rim.
If the air pressure in a tyre drops, the speed of the wheel changes.
The speed sensor registers the altered wheel speed.
A display in the dash panel insert informs the driver about the tyre pressure change.

TPMS
The tyre pressure check system used by Audi
is a 4-wheel system. Although the spare
wheel is monitored and "managed“ by the
control unit, it is excluded from the system
status messages (for further details, refer to
"spare wheel“).
Data transfer from the wheel sensors to the
control unit is effected by means of radiofrequency
(RF) transmission. Information
exchange between the peripheral
components in the vehicle takes place via the
convenience CAN-Bus.
A measuring and transmitter unit mounted
on the tyre valve sends a radio signal at
regular time intervals to the antennas for tyre
pressure monitoring integrated in the wheel
housing. This signal is then relayed to the
control unit for tyre pressure monitoring.
The control unit for tyre pressure monitoring
evaluates the tyre pressures and/or the
pressure change and sends corresponding
system status messages to the instrument
cluster. These messages are indicated to the
driver on the display of the Driver Information

TPM - if it only relies on the wheel speed, why can the tyre pressures be saved in the TPM section of the MMI? On my Range Rover, one had a High Load and a Normal Load (or something like that) setting and if the pressure dropped below a certain threshold (pre-determined by the manufacturer), the system gave a “low pressure” warning – i.e. it worked more or less the same as the system on the Q7, although the factory decided what is the appropriate pressure, not the user as is the case with our vehicles. The Range Rover’s system definitely has pressure sensors in the rims.

The Q7 does not.
