OK so I have been searching the net trying to find front rotors that are better or if they are only going to last 15K cheaper for the futures, and there seems to be little to nothing available. Plenty of rear options not so for front. Anybody?

I haven't bought for my 2018, but for my 2014 I liked these below (which are for the MKII);
I like these:

I used these once too:

Still again those are only REAR rotors. Not front.

Let us know how much they cost, I'm sure most are curious.

Centric makes good rotors, I highly recommend them. Look for coated ones versus non-coated.

How do I determine if I have the 350mm or 375mm front rotors?
Same for 350mm vs 330mm rears?

Any trick without taking a wheel off and measuring? Is it as simple as 2.0T vs 3.0T motor / trim level?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So my 2017 Q7 brakes were pulsating bad and getting worse. So I brought it in for service oil change and rotate tires and check brakes. The Service Tech calls me and tells me the front pads and rotors are DONE! Really 15,000 miles? The pulsating started about 10,000 miles and got worse. I asked to speak with the service manger and when I spoke to her she tried to say it was because I most drive with 2 feet. Ahh no I’ve been driving for over 40 years and know how to drive. She then asks do i drive fast? Huh? Yeah I do. But the rotors still should not be shot after 15K. I told her I currently also own a 2014 Porsche 911 that I thrash around way worse than the Q and the brakes are fine. I get the number of Audi NA. They were better and more accommodating. They agreed to Comp the rotors for “Audi good will”. I told him this is my 6th Audi and my wife’s current A5 Cab. NEVER had I had such poor quality brakes on a vehicle. Don’t get me wrong I love everything about the Q except the brakes. I know its a heavy vehicle but really 15K on rotors just doesn’t seem right. If they go in another 15k I think I will go aftermarket.

FYI, mine started about same time, squealing . They just replaced the brakes yesterday, guess known issue for months. Had to wait a couple weeks for parts. Took delivery 01/2017.

Same here. I'm confused by what the specs really are. Also, I couldn't find front rotors at all on RockAuto, which virtually carries everything you ever need for any car. I guess the Q7 just don't need the front brakes LOL

They are replacing brakes on Q7s, check with your dealer...

FWIW, I find that driving a lot with adaptive cruise/ congestion assist on (which I mostly do) leads to way more and harder braking, and that often somewhat unnecessary, compared to normal driving without these assists. For instance, I frequently notice automatic breaking when I’d just have taken the foot of the throttle and let the car coast. That can’t possibly help longevity of our brakes.

It's even worse than that. Tonight, I was headed downhill at 65 with transmission in sport mode, 6th gear. My foot was off the gas. I pushed the button the stalk to engage cruise, and it instantly shifted to 8th followed right away by application of the brakes to hold 65. Huh? If it had stayed in 6th, that would have held the speed just fine.

I canceled cruise, and it immediately shifted to 6th (throughout all of this, my foot has been off the gas). This is the right way to hold speed downhill! I turned on cruise again, and it shifted to 8th followed by application of the brakes to hold the speed. That’s just stupidly wearing the brake pads.

I have used OBD eleven to change some setting so the dashboard shows S1-S8 or D1-D8 rather than just S or D. It's like M1 - M8 that display when in manual model or after using paddle shifters. This is how I know what gear the transmission was in and what gear it shifted to as I engaged and disengaged cruise.

I disengaged cruise, and the transmission immediately shifted to 6th. That's good, but if it’s smart enough to hold
