I trust Iconoclast.... but unfortunately, I'm hearing what Rheagar said below. My Dealer has 42 on order (reserved with deposits, not yet allocated or ordered with Audi) and is expecting a shipment in late Dec/Early January. From there, the 42 that are "on order" will have the ability to pick from those cars OR wait til their allotment begins to come in mid/late Feb. They expect the system to be opened to submit actual orders in the next couple weeks.

i had the opportunity to spend a great deal of time with the vehicle and took many photos. i was going to make a complete thread reviewing it but have not had a moment to get the photos of the camera. perhaps later this evening i could put something together.

i just realized we are talking about two different types of new Q7. mine would be built not one of these vehicles that are already produced and ready to go. so i believe the deviation in availability is based on ordering one versus locating one that is already built.

i will be there saturday and i will try to get more information. this is what has been said to me by two different individuals. my local dealer is a high volume dealer so i can't imagine this is an allocation issue mfg playing favorites with another dealership in the area.
