That's why I asked you about the FWD, since you'd be 1 of 1 to have that...and would have been quite the strange unicorn [/QUOTE

All Wheel Drive. All-wheel drive is in some ways similar to the full-time 4WD system in that it also sends torque to all four wheels constantly. However, most modern AWD systems don't offer drivers the option to operate in two-wheel drive and, unlike the 4WD systems, the differential between the front and rear axles cannot be locked.

Obviously it depends on driving style and traffic.. On the highway I have no problem getting 24 to 26 mpg, I might be able to do better if I kept my foot out of it a little more than I do, and put the trans in "D" once in a while. I drive with the trans in sport mode 95% of the time.
In stop a go highway traffic I still see 21 to 22 mpg which I don't feel is bad for an SUV the size of the Q7. In city driving anywhere from 17 to 20 mpg because of all the stop and go traffic we're usually in..

Really depends on your driving style and your route. Since you plan to use it as daily driver, is your route mostly city, highway or mix of both. I personally drive in "comfort" and average 19mpg in city and 24mpg on highways. Mix of both yields ~22mpg.
This forum should have all the details.

Its a big SUV to drive daily. I personally would hate it every day on my commute...its way bigger than I need, but then again, I'm used to driving smaller/sportier cars daily

BTW, the average fuel economy reported by the gauges tends to read high, so if people are going by that they are probably 7-9% off! I was surprised how much lower my true fuel economy was when I started tracking it based on miles and fuel pump readings. I'm averaging 18-18.5 mpg. Unfortunately I do quite a few short city driving trips, which is not great for fuel economy. Coming from a 2012 Q7 TDI the fuel mileage is certainly worse, but nowhere as bad as a hemi-engine Jeep! Premium gas is less expensive than diesel currently where I am, so it's close enough to be a wash and the new Q7 is SOOOO much nicer, it is more than worth it!
That sounds great! Just that most people who spend the $$ on a GT3 actually REALLY tend to know cars, hence why they buy a GT3 vs a reg 991, and would know if a vehicle has AWD vs. FWD. Also, if you've got the $$ for a 911 GT3 (~$150K+), I doubt you're too concerned about the mpg of the Q7 All 7-person petrol SUVs tend to get about the same mpg when similarly equipped, within an avg +/- 5 mpg

If you use “petrol” then you maybe in England where the gallon is bigger so mpg is not comparable to mpg’s in the US. Maybe posting your location would make your post less ambiguous?
