But my wife knowing how I am with vehicles insisted I drive the 3.0 which I didn't want to do because deep down I knew if I drove it I would be hooked. When I called my salesman to schedule the test drive he warned me that if I drove the 3.0 I would buy it.
He was right, the day we test drove the 2.0 and 3.0 back to back we ended up buying the 3.0 that day.. I was still impressed with the 2.0 until I drove the 3.0 which not only felt more powerful but IMO it felt more refined, smooth and quiet.
The 3.0 moved the Q7 with ease whereas the 2.0 was noisy (which is something I didn't notice prior to driving the 3.0) in doing so. And of course now the 2.0 felt sluggish to me after driving the 3.0.
I am closing in on a year of ownership and I can easily say the 3.0 is my favorite feature of the Q7, IMO it's a great and somewhat under rated engine..

This is so true.. As I've mentioned on the forum before, I test drove a 2.0 twice and was actually impressed on how well it moved the Q7.. I expected it to be somewhat sluggish, and even struggle at times but it drove much better that I expected, and I was very close to buying it..

^^ Same here, I mostly use it on weekends since it's my wife's DD.. And I also look forward to driving it, something I can't really say in regards to our past SUV's.. Don't get me wrong I liked them, but never looked forward to driving them as I do with the Q7..
