2017 Q7 Black Optic Package

My current order is scheduled to be built next week so there is no ability to make a change. All of their build slots in the near term are already allocated to sold cars. Hence I have to wait for the next open slot or hope someone cancels and I can take their slot.

I ordered Argus brown. Build week 21 is still changeable according my dealer.
I'm on the fence on black optics since I haven't even seen Argus brown in person either.
So I did a quick photoshop.... so maybe some of you can help me decide?
to black optic or not to black optic, that is the question.
sorry for the sloppy adobe skillz.. the photo was once a blue Q7 and you can tell haha

I'm not so sure about black optics now. While I do like the titanium wheels and blacked out grille better, I do agree with kip1 that the aluminum/chrome trim around the windows and lower door trim does contrast better with darker colors like the argus brown I have chosen. It's all about contrast; white, silver, beige, grey will contrast nicely with black optics while black, brown, ink blue will contrast better with aluminum/silver, as the image above illustrates nicely. So I will most likely stick with my order without the black optics. Still have a couple of weeks to think about it more so feel free to try and change my mind

I'm sure acquiring parts and replacing them will be a very realistic DIY job. Though I have a funny feeling that my mid-ownership change up in 2-3 years will end up being trading up for an SQ7 because I will not be able to resist

Same with me... Just have to convince the wife that an SQ7 is a worthy upgrade in 2-3 years at $100k...Much easier when you already have an RS7

I love the black optic package.. If it had been available for me I'd of gotten it in a heartbeat, but I'm really into the blacked out look. Pretty sure my next q7 (or SQ7 if i can swing it!) will be black with the black optic package. Not that I don't love my graphite grey because I really do, but my husband's already staked claim on my graphite grey 2017 once his current lease is up so I'm planning way in advance.

The wheel description is "5-twin-spoke design RS wheels, Titanium". Presumably "Titanium" means some sort of silver/gray color. I wish they'd gone with black. Or better yet, black with a white or silver lip.
