Default 2017 Q7 power folding mirrors on lock
They are not very consistent, they don't fold on every lock up. what's the trick here?

Mine fold every time, even in very cold and icy conditions.
Maybe take it in for service?

Mine folds every time as well, sounds like a dealer trip is in your future.

My wife found that she needed hard press the door handle to fold the mirrors, if it's a tab, car just locks...

don't have a q7 yet but on my allroad the mirror adjustment switch had to be in the up position for the mirrors to fold.
