I thought it was starting the 17th, so I guess that is early.

I'm mildly interested in this, lack of 3rd row stinks, if the price point is below Tesla could make a great 2nd vehicle for around town, i still wouldn't want to do electric for trips.

I had signed up for email updates... we got an invitation to get the deposit in today.

My Deposit is in.

Instead of two parallel threads, until e-tron forum shows up... join the thread over in Q5-land.

Also received the invite, but just got Tesla Model 3. So far, loving it! Once you get used to electric, its hard to go back to gas powered vehicles.

Now that the e-tron has been unveiled, here are some specs. Sadly, range still remains at the low end compared to the competition.

Looks like a good electric, and you can even reserve one, a la Tesla. Why I will not: my current Q7 is a great car - great handling, smooth engine, nice tech features, good (but not stellar) fuel economy. I like the design and capacity. In the space of my almost 6 month ownership however, Audi has so far revealed they will be deleting Google Earth in two years - with no planned replacement as far as I can tell, did not include some common luxury features such as true parking assist or hill hold in US models (or even headlight washers in most configurations), either cannot or will not correct the overhead view debacle, and has niddling quirks in MMI regarding connectivity, unaddressed by corporate AoA. I'm not prepared to be surprised by what the e-tron, or Q8, or whatever newest sliced bread produced by Audi, does not have. And the Q7 is not a first generation Audi, cutting edge, with expected gremlins. BMW has a nice hybrid coming - 45e. The iPace and MB electric offerings look pretty good. Gasoline Audi equivalents are plentiful. And I won't have to wonder or do fine print research to find out what's not included in the American market. So after current Q7, I'll shop around. Audi has not earned, nor do they deserve, my brand loyalty.

A new e-tron forum has been created... and a thread for tracking ordering and pics.
