2019 Q7 park assist
I can never get it to work... I drive real slow, and it doesn't pick up any space whatsoever.
Heck, I even drove in an empty parking lot with no cars, and it just doesnt pickup any space whatsoever. Does it need cars to pick up a parking space (even though i have tried to find space between two cars and and park assist just doesn't want to play.)
What am i doing wrong? I press the park assist button and drive slow between 5-10 miles.
Am i missing something?
Thanks

I've got it working in mine...but you're right - it's a bit finicky. It seems like you need to drive a bit further past the spot than you'd expect before it shows up, and I think speed does have something to do with it... I tend to turn it on right when I turn into a row where I'm going to look for a spot and it tends to work better- not just when I see a spot I want.

I haven’t had any luck with no cars in the lot....I think it uses the cars to help determine a spot along with the lines. I did get it to work though and it seems you also have to be close enough to the cars in the row for it to detect a space. It did work pretty well once it found a space.
