Default 285/40/22 Fitment

Anyone running or know for sure if I can run a 285/40/22 without any rubbing issues? This is for a non air suspension Q7. Thanks

I was also wondering about this! It seems that with that setup when our cars are reading 70 MPH we would actually be traveling at about 73 MPH. That doesn't bother me so much but if I could pull off a 40 series tire on a 22 I would be pumped. Not sure anyone on here has done that though.

Yeah... the speedo being off really is the least of my concerns. I would hate to drop down to 35 series sidewall if I can avoid it. Really enjoy the current ride and just don’t want to degrade it that much.

So on our XC90 we had 21 inch wheels with the Pirelli Scorpion all seasons. I have heard a lot of people talk bad about those tire and personally I have never been a fan of their summer tires. But those tires were great and lasted 30,000 on our Volvo and did great in the snow. I do see that they have a 305-35-22 tire available. Im thinking of going 22 x 10.5 with a 25 offset and those tires. Thoughts?

I think they should work. If there would be an issue it might be inner wheel well clearance but i think it should clear. I might go that route once my current set wears out.
