2nd q7

One big advantage of two of the same... if you ever have to drive each other's, you know where everything is and how all the controls work.
I'd go for another Q7, and get a different color, especially for the interior.

I was quite disappointed by some of the interior quality on the new Disco. 2nd row seats are also bizarre in how high your knees are. Seems like it's been designed for small kids only!

That's why we originally got a 2017 A4 for my wife to go with our 2017 Q7. Now, due to a change in circumstances, the A4 will be replaced with a 2018 Q5. Talk about everything being the same .

If you are considering 2 row SUV, you might want to look at the Jag F-Pace, but I would have no problem with an Ink Blue Q7 next to the White on in the garage

If price is not an issue, the new Range Rover Velar is quite nice. Only draw back is that it is a 5 passenger. 7 passengers is the only reason I choose the Q7 over the Velar.

Love that F-Pace but bumped my head getting in to the back seats. I'm 5'11". They do a stadium seat concept back there.

Bentley Bentayga .and. Maserati Levante if there's room in the garage . Otherwise the new SQ5, agree that sticking with the same tech somehow is nicer.

I am a XC90 T8 owner, so you know I am going to be biased.
I was lurking here because of another thread I started, which explains why I bought the XC90.
But, just my 2cp. The Volvo interior is great. I know that's a touchy topic on an Audi forum, but the clean design on the interior and the comfort of the seats in the Volvo are, in my humble opinion, above the Q7.
My vehicle is only two months old and I have about 6,000 miles on it. So it's early to tell much about reliability. But, so far, it's been flawless. I suspect (or hope?) that the problems that were reported with early models were... early production issues. And a lot were software-related. So, hopefully, that's solved. But, who knows. So far, so good.
What you would give up is:
1. Quiet. Volvo is much noisier, partially because of the 4-cylinder engine.
2. Smoothness. Again, 4 vs 6... but the gear box in the Audi dominates as well.
Now, the above might be mitigated with the hybrid (T8) Volvo, as it does give a quieter ride (not just when electric-the noise cancellation seems to do more than advertised) and a smoother performance when both engines are engaged (but don't expect improved fuel economy, in that case).
If your wife cares more about interior comfort than engine, Volvo might make sense.
Said so, as I said in a separate thread, my first choice would have been the Q7.
