3 zone climate control annoyance
Hi Everyone,
Loving the new Q7 but incredibly annoyed with the three zone climate control. Apparently, there is no way to sync the three zones as you have been able to do in all previous Audi models and any other vehicle with climate control. I have a bad back and it's impossible to see the rear temperature settings without getting out of the car and going in the back. With two small children this is a huge pain. This is a huge miss by Audi and if it is cost related it is very disappointing. I confirmed that the 4 zone climate control does have a sync option - needless to say get that one!
Unless of course, you like to change your temperature, your passengers temperature, and then getting out and climbing in the back to change your kids temperature. Ridiculous. If you have a work around please share it.

Now you mentioned it, the manual does not say that either (only 4 zones).
For Q5, you can press and hold the temperature **** on the driver side to synchronize the temperature. I just tried this on my Q7's 3-zone control, and it did not work (works as setting the max AC).

Thanks for checking. I have tried everything and nothing works. Hoping this can be fixed with a software update in the future. Seems like a poor choice for cost cutting.

I've also not been successful in finding this option, even in the MMI. I previously had a c6 a6 and used the sync temperature option all the time. I am surprised they removed this, although I haven't quite figured out if "auto" mode does this or not.

I've noticed this is well. Posted it here and someone said just check the manual. But I see no option. I don't even see an option to sync the passenger and driver side temp. Does anyone know if you can at least sync driver and passenger side?

See the video below for 4 zone climate control. About half way through it shows how easy it is to control rear temp from the front and sync all four zones. For some reason or perhaps no reason at all, Audi eliminated this for the 3 zone system.
