Add-on: Simonize, Venture, Shield AudiCare
I've hit the point in the purchase process where the fun begins...listening to the sales pitch for the 'add-on's. I'm curious what people currently think of the following options:
Simonize: $1,595 (worth it?)
Venture Shield $1,595 (worth it?)
AudiCare (Seems like a no brainer if you plan on keeping the car to 75k miles)
We live in the Northeast with 2 kids and 2 dogs...but we did get the dark (nougat) interior.
Also, are the costs for the top 2 negotiable? If so what are people paying?
Thanks,
Jason

Like others said, 100% rip off. This is what I do on a new vehicle: Hit the local auto parts store and buy/do this:
1) 2-cans of spray on scotch guard - spray the carpets and mats
2) Bottle of Mequiar's leather treatment, and wipe on/off all leather bits.
3) Bottle of Meguiar's vinyl treatment, and wipe on/off all the vinyl bits.
...
4) "Rinse and repeat" every spring.
If you plan on having the dealer do service, AudiCare is worth it. My dealer tossed it in as part of the deal.

Go to a reputable detailer that is local and get something like Opti-Coat Pro +, CQuartz, Gtechnik, etc.
And Audicare is worth it if you plan on keeping the vehicle and would otherwise go to local stealership for service.
You know what you are in it for in terms of $ for service up front.

I got the simonize, wish I had my $ back. (I they did something to the interior too but I forgot the name) my wife wanted it, I didn't feel like arguing with her, and looked at it more like insurance.
